Next job-alike session will be in ACG school on 28 April 2018, detailed info will be sent later through Basecamp.

IBAP Country Visit to Indonesia 03-05 November 2016
Venue: Jakarta Intercultural School.
  • IBAP will be sending representatives from all programmes. The purpose is for IBAP to communicate with us here, offer IB updates and discussions, visit schools and participate in the DUNIA Conference on the Saturday to meet as many IB practitioners as possible. The detailed agenda will be shared soon when it is done.

  • The Conference theme is Values Education. BUT, please do not allow this to restrict your contributions from your subject/programme area. We will run workshops on all topics.

PYP Coordinators’ Meeting:

  • Twice a year (Usually around September and April)
  •  Location: Jakarta, outside JaBoDeTaBek/Jakarta Bogor, Depok, Tangerang Bekasi (if possible).
  •  Time: Thursday, Friday
  •  Host school will get Rp. 3.000.000,- per day
  •  Each school may send a maximum of 2 participants
  •  Payment for additional participants: Rp 125,000 / person, paid directly to the hosting school.

PYP Dunia Job-alikes:

  • PYP Job-alikes are held once a year; usually around February (In addition to the PYP Dunia job-alike there is an IB Dunia conference for PYP, MYP and DP schools. It is agreed that enough PYP sessions will be offered to meet the needs of PYP teachers.)
  • Location: Jakarta; outside Jakarta every 3 years (with the first of the three-year cycle in the 2013/2014 school year).
  • For the third year in a cycle, we will offer schools outside JaBoDeTaBek. If none of the school outside JaBoDeTaBek can host it, then it will be in JaBoDeTaBek.
  • Time: 1 day; Friday (in Jakarta) or Saturday (outside Jakarta)
  • Invitation: minimum 2 months in advance
  • Number of job-alike topics: 3-4
  • Job alike topics:
    • More subject focused based, with more break-out sessions provided and plenary/general sessions minimized
    • Topics are based on the needs of schools, decided in PYP Dunia Coordinators’ meeting.
    • Follow up discussions on topics are held through basecamp.
    • Materials presented in job-alikes are uploaded in basecamp.
  • PYP Dunia’s contribution to hosting schools: Rp 3,000,000/day of job alike.
  • Each school may send a maximum of 2 participants for the whole job-alike.
  • Payment for additional participants: Rp 125,000 / person, paid directly to the hosting school.
  • Facilitators:
    • Facilitators are members of PYP Dunia (voluntary basis, approved & sponsored by their schools) or invited speakers from outside PYP Dunia
    • Prior to the job-alike, facilitators send proposals to PYP Dunia chairpersons. The proposals will be reviewed and facilitators will be contacted by chairs.
    • Schools that have been authorized schools for at least 2 years are expected to send facilitators as contributors to PYP Dunia.
    • For facilitators sent by member schools, accommodation and transport costs are covered by the sending schools as part of their contributions to Dunia wherever possible.
    • For invited speakers from outside of PYP Dunia, accommodation and transport costs are covered by PYP Dunia.
